On April 10th, 2025, Kunsthaus Weiz opened its doors to a remarkable cultural evening dedicated to art, music, and memory. The occasion marked the official opening of the exhibition “Julius Voegtli: A Swiss Pioneer of Impressionism”, celebrating the vibrant legacy of a visionary artist whose work continues to inspire.
The soulful jazz performance by the Eduardo Antiao Trio created a fitting musical backdrop, enriching the experience of an evening centered on light, color, and dialogue. The exhibition was introduced with a series of thoughtful speeches by:
- Georg Gratzer, Curator of the exhibition
- Nour Nouri, Director of Pashmin Art Consortia
- Dr. Davood Khazaie, International Curator
- Mag. Oswin Donnerer, Cultural Commissioner
A deeply moving highlight was the personal address by Hans Vögtli, the artist’s grandson, who shared heartfelt stories and insights into the life and artistic journey of Julius Voegtli, offering a multigenerational perspective on the painter’s enduring impact.
Complementing the exhibition was the launch of a trilingual art book, presenting Voegtli’s work in German, English, and Chinese – a lasting tribute to his international relevance.
The exhibition is on view at Kunsthaus Weiz until June 7th, 2025, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a visual world where impressionist beauty and emotional resonance unite.
